This new CID RIM sound shows an artist finding himself a decade into producing music at a high level. Finding a balance between his electronic influences and jazz background, and using his voice through a processing chain indebted to 70s prog and fusion, CID RIM can now realise songs himself without the need for collaborators. The outcome doesn't compromise the sonics he built his name on, but rather it brings his collaborative work home: to the innovative beats pioneered by his scene in Vienna. No one makes music quite like CID RIM, and we predict the album to come from this new sound will become and influential release for the label.
