King Lunice returns with a vibrant collaboration with Montreal-based upcomer Miko. The new single follows a string of spontaneous singles: “Manila Clam” and “I GOT 5 ON IT." CALM DOWN features a high-energy video shot by Lunice, capturing the two musicians in various states of mischief: sneaking through fences, dunking their heads in water, hitting blunts in a darkroom. And edited by Cameron Morse the whole thing feels perfectly fitting for the moment. The track flips a sample of Lu playing electric guitar into a stomping youth anthem. Miko's vocal was originally recorded as a reference track, but we all loved it so much we stuck w it. An amazing and weird record that manages to feel very fresh in the cruel Fall of 2020.
